Aseefa Bhutto Zardari: Like mother, like daughter

Dubai - Youngest member of Bhutto clan makes her mark in politics and social sector.

Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, the youngest daughter of late for-mer prime minister Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari, is walking in the footsteps of her illustrious mother.
Aseefa Bhutto, who completed her Bachelors in Politics and Sociology from Oxford Brookes Univer-sity, UK, was born on February 3, 1993 and is turning 23 on Friday. Aseefa, who was famously the first Pakistani baby to be vaccinat-ed against polio after her mother launched a major immunisation drive in 1994, has since become a national ambassador for the camppaign.
She is determined to carry forward the mission and eradicate the dreaded virus from the country. She is also an ambassador for the UAE on eradication of polio in Pakistan.
The famous daughter of a famous mother, who did her Masters in Global Health & Development at University College, London, aims to utilise her education for the cause of a healthier Pakistan.
Benazir's youngest child Aseefa sector has become a very well known face in the polity of Pakistan. Focusing on the young generation, she has become a favourite among Pakistan People's Party (PPP) supporters. Her great zeal to work for the country at a very young age is being appreci-ated by the party's rank and file.
She made her voting debut in 2015 amidst a swarm of supporters as she cast the first vote of her life in Sindh's second phase of local government elections. Aseefa came all the way to Tando Allahyar (a small town in Sindh province of Pakistan) to cast her first ever vote at Ward No 4 Meerabad.
The 23-year-old member of a famous political family is also a rights activist, global citizen, Rotary Am-bassador and former UN ambassador for polio eradication. She aims at bringing safety and peace to Pakistan for which her mother Benazir gave away her life.
She has been working on 'Cleaner Sindh Campaign' for the past few months and has started the campaign from the Lyari area of Karachi.Lending a helping hand in im-proving the health sector in Pakistan, Aseefa has been paying visits to different healthcare centres, engaging with the management to stay updated about the facilities as well as requirements - in order to play her part effectively.
