A Macedonian expat's marriage proposal went swimmingly after his partner accepted a ring presented to her by a Dubai dolphin.
Maja Stojanovska, 23, thought they were at the Dubai Dolphinarium just to watch the show, but her fiancé had bigger fish to fry.
Daniel Petrushevski, 24, teamed up with the staff at the Dubai Creek Park's Dolphinarium, to present his childhood sweetheart with the ring on the day before Valentine's Day.

Petrushevski, who works as security at a Dubai club, told Khaleej Times: "I brought her to the Dolphinarium as a surprise and told her we were going to see the show. It took me a while to plan the whole thing. The staff were so lovely, they pretended like they didn't know anything, but we had actually met several times to plan all of it.
"I was so nervous. She didn't know she was going to swim with the dolphins too. When she did that, she got happy. But then a dolphin brought her a plastic box. At first, she couldn't open it and I got so nervous, but then when she finally saw the ring - she was so happy."

Petrushevski uploaded the video of the proposal to his Facebook account and it has received almost 10,000 views so far.

The couple have known each other since they he was three-years-old and met again 15 years later at a graduation party.

Stojanovska said: "I was very happy, but also surprised. I couldn't stop smiling."

A staff member at the Dolphinarium, Najoua Ajjour, said that it was a "sweet moment" for everyone who was there.

"We all got very emotional, but it was very fun too. We had to pretend like we had never met Daniel before," Ajjour said.

The couple is looking to get married sometime next year.
