Union Mall opens in Sharjah

SHARJAH - Union Mall, UAE’s premiere one-stop-shop for all construction and interior design requirements, was opened on Tuesday by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Ahmad Mohammad Al Midfaa.

With over 60 specialised showrooms, the mall offers a wide selection of building and interior design materials and accessories including ceramic and granite, glass and aluminum, sanitary ware, floor and ceiling materials, wall papers, lighting equipment and doors and stairs.

“This is the first phase of the mall with an estimated investment of Dh50 million and we are also considering second phase that is on drawing board,” Mohammad Abdallah Al Omran, Founder of M.A Al Omran Group, told Khaleej Times after the inauguration of the mall. Located alongside the King Faisal Street in Sharjah, Union Mall stands on 130,000 square feet in the industrial area No. 4, which renowned among customers in the UAE and the wider MENA region as a trading destination of building materials and decoration items. With the opening of Union Mall, customers will find all their requirements under one roof.

“We have another piece of land next to Union Mall which is around 90,000 square feet that will be used for the extension of this [Union Mall],” Al Omran said. Commenting on the opening, Al Omran said: “We are delighted to bring customers in Sharjah and the UAE a comprehensive destination offering a one-stop-shop for all their construction and decoration needs.”

“According to a series of recent surveys, the building and construction sector in the UAE and the Middle East has begun to swing back to vibrancy, with 1,600 projects returning to activity in the UAE alone. Supported by its strategic location and unique offering, Union Mall is in a strong position to benefit from the real estate recovery as it progresses,” Al Omran added.
