His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has directed to send urgent medical aid to the UK to help fight the coronavirus,  Covid-19.
Dubai Media Office tweeted on Thursday that the Ruler has ordered 60 tonnes of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Britain's National Health Service (NHS) - to help them combat the pandemic.
The medical aid will also include face masks, protective clothing and other essential supplies.

The first aircraft carrying this aid landed at Heathrow Airport today from suppliers in China.
The assistance was in light of UAE-UK's deep and long standing connections, a spokesperson for the PM office said, the BBC reported.
The gesture is also part of the UAE's keenness to help frontline health workers' battle to combat the pandemic.
Furthermore, Sheikh Mohammed's generous aid demonstrates the UAE's keenness to support international efforts to contain the outbreak.
