A stampede at a Pakistani fashion store is making headlines - again - after similar episodes of women mobbing clothing stores on sale or a new collection launch day went viral last year.
This time, a video from fashion store in Lahore has gone viral on social media, where not just women but even men mobbed the store to pre-book dresses.

Èlan - the brand behind the recent 'fashion frenzy' - held pre-bookings of their latest lawn collection online and on locations in Karachi and Lahore starting Friday. While things went business as usual in Karachi, the Lahore launch made headlines.
One of the attendees recorded a video of the mob as they pushed and yelled their way in while damaging some property as well, Dawn Images reported.

Èlan's fashion designer, Khadijah Shah, soon responded to backlash online, with Instagram stories appreciating the interest in their collection but urged fans to stay safe while shopping as there was enough stock. For the judgemental critics, Shah hit back at them with a thought provoking message: "We have all seen mad sales abroad, whether at Zara, HNM or the so called Paki[stani] high soc[iety] frantically scrounging the Harrods sale [in London]! Let's not go there - don't be bitter...kudos to women who go for what they want"
