Two Emirati brothers died and two others were injured when their car flipped over multiple times on Maliha Road towards Fujairah on Monday morning. The 18-year-old boy driving the vehicle died on the spot, while his 16-year-old brother succumbed to his injuries in Al Dhaid Hospital. The two injured are receiving treatment.

During initial investigation, the police found that the car was speeding and overturned as the driver lost control of it.

The police received information about the accident at the operations room of the Central Region Police Station. Traffic police, rescue patrols and national ambulances moved to the scene and shifted the body of the deceased to the morgue and the injured to Al Dhaid Hospital.

An official source at Al Dhaid Hospital said that the medical and nursing staff provided the three injured brought there with first aid and further treatment. Medical tests were conducted that revealed that the brother of the deceased is in a "clinical death" condition as a result of the severe injury to his brain. He died on Tuesday morning, while the other two were still in the surgical department.
